![]() Activites: Lads had a good time, pretty good all round. Had lunch in a nice cafe and once you get your bearings it is pretty simple to get too and from the old town. We phoned the hotel and they sent grumpy guide back to pick half our party up as the other half went clubiing Breakfast: Simple 2nd day morning, It does not take that long to walk to the center of town from the hotel and we had a nice walk to clear our heads and check out the area. Went to 3 places, 1 bar was a toursit place could have been anywhere in the UK and very pricey food, 2nd bar was quite cool with a small dancefloor and more local people around then our grumpy guide took us and then abadoned us in the 3rd place - which I have no idea what it was but from the half naked women and dodgy russian bloke asking if a good shag was needed was a knocking shop! they gave us 16 free beers, but most of the lads did not like it there so everyone left - the guide should have told us what the place was before taking us there and should not have gone. So they called some poor women in from her day off and she was bloody miserable the whole evening, did not crack a smile once. We had a guided bar crawl booked, though they made a mistake and did not have enough guides. She looked like one of the cheeky girls which was slightly bizare as I could not get there awfull song out of my head as she was doing the private dance :-) "this is life! touch my bum!", needless to say there is no touchy of teh bum allowed, shame really. The women I had a private dance with was gorgeous, they are not as filthy as most lap dances in the UK but they genreally go on for 10mins so slightly longer and I enjoyed it - though it is pricey it is a safe environment. The women are VERY good looking, well most of them anyway :-) private dance is 20 lats, and the girl will ask for a tip after the dance as it seems they get paid by the hour and only get 4 lats or so per an hour (? I do not know this for sure though), so the tip I did not mind, but the 20 lats is very expensive. First evening: If it is your first time in Riga and you have no idea where anything is the lack of nearby food is a downer but we investigated the Lap Dancing club within the hotel instead. Rooms are small but clean and have everything that is needed for a short stay. We booked double and triple rooms and as they ballsed things up slightly they tried to get us to have a dormitary, but we where having not of that and got the rooms we booked. Arrival: Chaos, but there was 16 of us oafs so they did sort us all out in the end. Pick up from airport: there where 16 of us, but the hotel rep thought there was only 8 coming and the minibus she had could only take this amount but she quickly sorted out a taxi for the rest of us. Opinons of it are slightly variable overall. I have got back today from a weekend stay at the hotel. ![]()
